Destiny Islands

Destiny Islands is the home to the main characters of Kingdom Hearts: Sora, Kairi and Riku. We would assume that this is Sora's hometown and birth town as well, because we have seen flashbacks of him as a child along with Riku.

The world of Destiny Islands are a group of tropical islands. The island that we first meet Sora, Kairi, Riku and their other buddies, Selphie, Wakka and Tidus is their very own playground. Their playground consists of various wooden structures which is like a regular children's playground by the park (but this is way cooler!). The island is complete with it's own dock for their own boats, a fantastic view and papou fruit trees of course! They even have small closed structures with four walls and the island also has various water lagoons, waterfalls and caves.

The most important cave in the game is the place that Sora and Riku have discovered deep within the island, a.k.a. the Secret Place. Inside are a variety of wall carvings and drawings, assumed to be created by the two boys, and the cave wouldn't be complete without its door to the light/darkness -- the heart of the world.

In Kingdom Hearts II, Destiny Islands isn't playable anymore, but we figure out that residents live on a much larger island and they also have a school because we see Kairi and Selphie in school uniforms.
